High on a waterfront cliff at the quiet north-east corner of Koh Phangan, The Hideaway is a house of glass and timber that opens straight onto the Gulf of Thailand. By day you watch the ferries round the headland; after dark the lights of the fishing boats drift across the bay and rearrange themselves all night.
No lobby, no neighbours, no queue. The whole villa is yours, a few minutes above one of the island's most beautiful beaches.
Every room in the villa faces the water. Two king bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, sit either side of an open-plan living room, kitchen and dining space under one high ceiling.
Fold back the glass and the living room becomes part of the terrace, the terrace part of the pool, and the pool part of the sea. A sofa bed in the living room sleeps a further two, so the whole house takes up to six on exclusive use, yours alone for your stay.
